Virtual Tour

Hilltop Preschool offers four inspiring rooms for a variety of learning environments: the “Bug Bungalow” large main classroom, the “Rainforest Retreat” for quiet activity, the “Discovery Hub” for art and science projects, and fun “Dramatic Playroom”. We also provide a well-equipped playground and bike path in a natural tree filled setting adjacent to Kleinstuck Preserve where students enjoy nature hikes and exploration.

Bug Bungalow

The main classroom is organized into centers dedicated to specific learning tasks. Activities throughout the day may include Handwriting without Tears (HWT), Read with Me, books on tape, numbers and math, music and movement, fine motor skills, Voyages and Little Lambs Bible study, and cooking. Children gather at a large carpeted area for Community Circle and group activities such as discussion, Sharing Bags, and storytelling.

Dramatic Playroom

Our playroom is devoted to freedom in imaginative and dramatic play. Some play activities we provide are a fully stocked walk-in playhouse, tool bench, dress-up corner, train table, large building blocks, stationary car, tricycles, kangaroo balls, dinosaurs, dolls, and more. There is a large area for gross motor activities such as balance beam and teeter-totter.

Discovery Hub

Children explore hands-on science projects such as growing crystals, cultivating plants from seeds, following the lifecycle of live butterflies, and caring for Earth. They also explore various media for crafts and process art. Students can paint on a wall-length easel, weave, try their hand at pottery, or combine science and art by making their own paper.

Rainforest Retreat

This inviting room is a quiet space to dream and relax. The rainforest mural with monkeys, tree frogs, elephants, and other rainforest creatures accompany children as they complete puzzles, sort and count manipulatives, or stretch out on pillows under a jungle canopy to read.

Playground

Children are exposed to fresh air and outdoor play as weather permits. A large play structure with slide, tower, and more, plus sandbox and bike path keep children busy in a quiet tree-rich environment.
